MTV World Cup ads

As the World Cup gets closer, every company is trying to identify themselves with soccer. This ad was a pretty smart move for MTV, and i think that by linking themselves with the fact that people are going to be ignoring MTV for the World Cup they are telling the truth in a way that will still make people remember their brand. Funny ad too.

World Cup anthem

Shakira's new song that is the supposed theme for the 2010 World Cup is not exactly going over well. Apart from sounding horrible, many critics are angry that a South African singer is not being used for the anthem. It makes you wonder why a singer like Shakira is being chosen when there have to be many good South African singers who could probably sing the lyrics much better, considering Shakira is using African language in her song, a language she does not even speak. What an odd choice for a World Cup anthem...

Embarassing soccer move.

This is apparently a really popular move in Brazil right now, but it still leaves this guy looking like a jackass because he messed it up.
